DO YOU ENJOY PAINTING WITH WATERCOLORS?
If you are an artist who enjoys watercolors and would like to exhibit in this blog, please contact me at my FLICKR Photostream through Flickr Mail--or send me an EMail at huffstutter7@aol.com
I am currently studying life and recording some of my fondest memories through watercolors. Take a look at them on my Flickr Photostream. Many are available for downloading, but I also have the signed originals on file for those who collect originals, one work or an entire collection. While I enjoy traveling, usually via Amtrak, between the Midwest and the West Coast, I am presently planning on spending some time in Florida, possibly establishing some gallery contacts for sales and promotions. Wherever I might be at any particular time, rest assured I will be sketching and painting, usually on a beach where I can meet the public and enjoy casual conversations about the weather, IMPRESSIONISM, Van Gogh, beatniks, the 60s generation, my time spent in the USN and my tour in Japan. While I no longer imbibe alcohol, I do love to sip espresso and coffee in public cafes. If you see an old man with a portfolio walking along a Florida beach, it might be me, and then again, it probably won't be--there's just too many of us old guys wondering around out there and there aren't nearly enough of us to go around for the young ladies in their 20s and 30s who are seeking us out for wisdom and knowledge. For now, so long until we meet again on the beach or through a posting of a painting and comments. Do stop by my Flickr photostream and say "hello."
My wife just told me she does not appreciate my humor about the young women in their 20s and 30s seeking us out for wisdom and knowledge. I retorted, "...well, if it's not for wisdom and knowledge, what is it then that makes us so appealing?"
Her answer cannot be repeated, but it was a warning to me to stay on task and behave like a gentleman. "Just keep painting your watercolors and someday you might be famous," she said with a chuckle and a hug. Crisis ended and I began thinking about which pier or beach I might paint next.

Plaça sant Josep Oriol (Barcelona)
Thank you so much for adding some of your great work of watercolor excellence to our group, the world's greatest watercolors. Your style and subject matter is absolutely fantastic. I have always admired painters who could use watercolors in the manner you use them. I have tried, but i just can't make it click. Nevertheless, i gain much joy from viewing others works. Your watercolors are among my favorites. We are honored to have your work in our group to share with all who come upon our group, for all who seek out great watercolors. Robert l. Huffstutter, admin for the group.

On way to Kolhapur
ONE OF VIJAY KAKDE'S BRILLIANT WATERCOLORS..."It reminds me of another era in history, one of the substance of novels by W. Somerset Maughm, one that is best remembered as gone. Those who have read Maughm will understand, those who haven't, nothing significant enough to research unless you are studying Colonialism. We are all glad it is history. Thanks for another great work. Your works keep our minds busy with history, admiration and the mystery of how you are able to paint such beautiful watercolors. You are an artist, that solves the mystery.

WE ARE GETTING A GREAT PORTFOLIO TOGETHER
IF I HAVE BEEN LAX ABOUT GETTING SOME OF THE BEAUTIFUL WATERCOLORS INTO THIS ONLINE BLOG OR JOURNAL, I APOLOGIZE. NOW, HOWEVER, WE ARE GETTING ENOUGH EXCELLENT WORK TO PLAN AN EXHIBIT IN THE NEAR FUTURE. THIS SHOULD A MOST EXCELLENT EXHIBIT. THE THEME, I BELIEVE, WILL BE THE "BRILLIANCE OF THE LIGHT, THE WHITE AREAS OF THE PAPER THAT MAKE THE WORK LITERALLY LIGHT UP. THIS IS THE ONE ASPECT OF WATERCOLORS I FIND AMAZING, THE ELEMENT OF THE WORK THAT KEEPS ME LOOKING AT A WORK OF ART LONG AFTER OTHERS HAVE PASSED TO THE NEXT. TO SAY THAT I AM FASCINATED BY A SPACE OF PAPER BEING LEFT ALONE,OR BLANK, MIGHT MAKE SOME QUESTION MY SANITY, BUT IS THAT NOT WHAT WATERCOLOR PAINTING IS ALL ABOUT.
THANKS FOR YOUR ENTHUSIASM DEMONSTRATED BY YOUR POSTINGS. IT IS NOT EASY TO GET A GROUP LIKE THIS ESTABLISHED. WE ARE FORTUNATE TO HAVE SUCH BRILLIANT ARTISTS IN OUR COOPERATIVE GROUP.
THANK YOU, ROBERT L. HUFFSTUTTER

WAITING FOR THE DECISIONS TO MADE MADE
THIS IS A NEW ONLINE JOURNAL OR BLOG. I PREFER TO CALL IT AN ONLINE JOURNAL.
This is the beginning of something new and somewhat exciting. Whenever the words "world's best" are included in a title, one knows that something good is going to happen. In this event, it is all about art, watercolors to be specific. We are waiting for the world's best watercolors to begin appearing. This is associated with a group on Flickr. I am the chief critic or administrator. Check out the group. Think about becoming a member.
